Halldor Gudmundsson (he/him)

Halldor Gudmundsson is the pastor at Church of the Redeemer UMC (COR). His appointment at COR is part-time. He serves also as the General Secretary/CEO of the Icelandic Bible Society.

Pastor Halldor is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. He is an experienced specialist in church development and theological discussion addressing congregational life and leadership. Halldor earned his Master of Arts in Lay Ministry from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in 2008 and Master of Sacred Theology with focus on congregational leadership from the same school in 2010.

Halldor finished a degree in theology from The University in Iceland in 1997 and was ordained as a deacon in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iceland in September the same year. Halldor has lived in Shaker Heights with his family since 2013.
